Hands that tend the crops with care

The world’s population is growing, demand for food is rising, and we have no choice but to be honest and open to exploring production and productivity models that are smarter—but above all, more respectful of the environment in which they operate.

Drawing on this respect for the planet and the desire to preserve ecosystems, maintain seed diversity, and contribute to the conservation and development of rural areas, organic farming is the primary tool for achieving the necessary balance between protecting the land and advancing societies in a more conscious manner.

A Commitment to Doing Things Right

That is why, at Muñoz y Pujante, we have been committed for years to incorporating organic raw materials into a comprehensive product line that gives us an enviable global position and has become our best calling card for some time now. This has completely transformed the traditional paradigm of designing and developing new, technologically advanced products, incorporating concepts such as origin, nutritional value, and food safety into the same philosophy.

So, every time our organic paprika leaves our home, to travel around the world, a small piece of the Murcian countryside and our commitment to doing things right goes with it, crossing borders and bringing to every dish the flavor of tradition and the utmost respect for the raw ingredients—which is our greatest asset.

Key Points of Eco's Philosophy

SOIL FERTILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY

Organic farming is based on the preservation of natural resources and respect for the environment in which it takes place, enhancing the soil’s natural fertility and productive capacity, and recycling nutrients to return them to the soil as organic fertilizer in order to regenerate it.

CROP ROTATION

Monocultures are harmful to the soil, as they contribute to soil degradation, the emergence of pests, and a reduction in the soil’s natural nutrient levels. Organic farming consciously plans crop rotation, helping to preserve the soil and optimize its health over time.

NO TO THE USE OF FERTILIZERS

Fertilizers have a very negative impact on groundwater, the soil, and, consequently, consumers. Organic farming is based on the use of techniques, tools, and substances that protect natural resources and preserve the essential nutrients for the soil and the food it produces.

NATURAL RESOURCES

In organic farming, there is a reduction in environmental energy costs and in the impact of farming activities on the environment; energy is not wasted, as the practice promotes the responsible and sustainable use of available natural resources and respect for the natural life cycle of plant species.

SOCIAL IMPACT

Thanks to the practices it promotes, organic farming fosters job creation and business development at the local and family levels. One of the goals of the organic philosophy is to comprehensively sustain the agricultural system in all its essential elements. Organic farming is a key component of our society’s sustainability.
