Hot paprika for the food industry and the HORECA sector
At Muñoz y Pujante, we treat hot paprika for what it truly is: a key ingredient in food product development. It’s not just about adding heat; it’s about achieving a precise balance between flavor, color, functionality, and stability in every application. That’s why our solutions are designed exclusively for the food industry, manufacturers, and professionals in the HORECA sector who require reliability in every batch and consistency in their production processes. Since our founding in 1954, we have evolved alongside the industry, adapting to technical, regulatory, and market demands. This allows us to offer hot paprika that not only meets current standards but also addresses real needs: integration into complex formulations, stable performance in thermal processes, and consistent results in the final product.

Planting (April–May)
It all begins with the selection of pepper varieties adapted to the growing conditions of the Region of Murcia. This choice defines the colour, flavour and yield profile of the sweet paprika, ensuring a balanced and consistent product for industrial applications.
Harvest (September)
Harvesting takes place at the optimum stage of ripeness, when the pepper reaches its full potential in terms of colour and aromatic intensity. This stage is essential to ensure sweet paprika with the right intensity and balance.
Drying
Drying is one of the most decisive stages of the process, as it defines the final profile of the paprika. We use controlled dehydration systems that preserve the pepper’s natural properties and allow the final result to be adapted to each specific requirement.
Grinding
Grinding is the final stage, when the dried pepper is transformed into paprika. During this process, we control particle size and processing conditions to prevent alterations and ensure a uniform product.
