The source of the flavor that defines your product

More than 50 years as manufacturers of Pimentón de Murcia

At Muñoz y Pujante, we have been dedicated to producing Pimentón de Murcia for more than 50 years, a track record that has allowed us to establish ourselves as a leader in the spices and condiments sector for the food industry. Our expertise is based not only on our long history but also on the constant evolution of our processes, as we adapt to market demands and the specific needs of each customer.

Since our inception, we have worked toward a clear goal: to offer high-quality paprika that adds real value to our customers’ products. Over the decades, we have expanded our capabilities by incorporating new technologies, control systems, and the development of custom solutions, all while preserving the traditional essence that characterizes Pimentón de Murcia.

Paprika producers in Murcia with in-house production

We develop the flavor your product needs. Let's talk about your project!

Our team analyzes each project individually to understand how your product behaves and what you need to achieve in terms of flavor, color, and performance. From there, we develop a customized solution that integrates seamlessly into your production process without causing any complications.

The process behind high-quality paprika

Planting (April–May)

It all begins with the selection of pepper varieties adapted to the growing conditions of the Region of Murcia. This choice defines the colour, flavour and yield profile of the sweet paprika, ensuring a balanced and consistent product for industrial applications.

Harvest (September)

Harvesting takes place at the optimum stage of ripeness, when the pepper reaches its full potential in terms of colour and aromatic intensity. This stage is essential to ensure sweet paprika with the right intensity and balance.

Drying

Drying is one of the most decisive stages of the process, as it defines the final profile of the paprika. We use controlled dehydration systems that preserve the pepper’s natural properties and allow the final result to be adapted to each specific requirement.

Grinding

Grinding is the final stage, when the dried pepper is transformed into paprika. During this process, we control particle size and processing conditions to prevent alterations and ensure a uniform product.

Production Cycle of Our Pimentón de Murcia

Why choose us

Enhance the aroma and color of your products with our Pimentón de Murcia

From origin to milling, everything under a single system of control

Having in-house production allows us to maintain complete control over every stage of the process, from the selection of the peppers to the final grinding. This comprehensive control ensures product consistency, batch-to-batch stability, and full traceability—key factors for the food industry.

Unlike other suppliers who rely on third parties, at Muñoz y Pujante we directly oversee every stage of the process, which allows us to immediately detect and correct any deviations. This ensures that our Pimentón de Murcia maintains consistent quality standards, regardless of volume or application. Furthermore, this control allows us to develop specific products, adjusting parameters such as color, aroma, or particle size according to the customer’s needs. For our partners, this means working with a reliable supplier capable of responding precisely and quickly.

We adapt to your production, not the other way around

Every customer has different needs, and our structure is designed to adapt to them. We offer a wide variety of production formats and capacities, ranging from large-scale industrial production to more specific or customized projects.

This flexibility allows us to work with both large companies in the food industry and projects that require more tailored solutions. We adapt to each client’s logistics and production processes, facilitating the integration of paprika into their production chain. In addition, we tailor aspects such as packaging, particle size, and the product’s technical characteristics to ensure it is perfectly suited to its end use. This not only improves operational efficiency but also helps optimize costs and results.

Our ability to adapt is one of the factors our long-term customers value most

Certified quality for the most demanding markets

The food industry is subject to increasingly stringent regulations, and it is essential to have a supplier who understands and complies with these requirements.

At Muñoz y Pujante, we operate under strict quality and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with current regulations in each market. We adapt to each client’s technical specifications, whether in terms of certifications, microbiological requirements, labeling, or production processes.

This adaptability allows us to work with companies that operate both nationally and internationally. In addition, we maintain a policy of continuous improvement, reviewing and optimizing our processes to ensure that our products always meet the highest standards. For our clients, this means peace of mind, trust, and the assurance of working with a supplier that is aligned with their regulatory needs.

More than just suppliers, we are partners in your growth

One of our key differentiators is the technical support we provide to our clients.

We do more than just supply paprika; we actively collaborate in the development and improvement of our customers’ products. Our technical team works closely with customers to analyze their needs, optimize formulations, and improve the performance of paprika in their applications.

This leads to more efficient results, both in terms of quality and cost. Whether it’s developing new products, reformulating recipes, or adapting to new market trends, we bring expertise and experience to facilitate decision-making. This collaborative approach transforms our relationship with the client into a strategic partnership, focused on continuous improvement and shared growth.
